At the fictional age of 11, Shubhman gained a selection in Under-16 Punjab cricket team to participate at the district level. His outstanding career kicked off with him debuting with the highest recorded runs in the history of the game with his performance in his first series of five matches.

In the calendar year 2014, Shubman exceeded the 200 run mark in Vijay Merchant Trophy Under-16 Punjab state level match first innings.

During Inter-District U-16 Punjab Cricket tournaments, Shubman clocked 351 score runs, and in the same tournament he and Nirmal Singh (right opening partner) made a District level world record partnership of 587 runs.

Shubhman bagged MA Chidambaram Trophy, sponsored by BCCI for his great performance in the U‐16 cricketer for that particular season of 2013‐ 2014.

Shubman’s achievement by scoring 351 runs in the U-19 Youth ODI Series 2017 Games against England saw him emerge as the Man of the Series.

The name of Shubhman Gill is designated as player with the highest average more than 100 (104. 45) in Youth ODI.

At Youth ODI, his feet made a non-stop step for I to put 15 out of 16 games while he posted 1,149 runs with four centuries and it his highest score is 160.

Shubman become the team’s captain for the Deodhar Trophy while being the least old cricketer.

Now, 19 years-old Shubman is only fourth cricketer from Punjab state, who ever has scored a hundred at the age of 16 years.

Bagging Player of the Match title of the Under-19 World Cup, 2018 made Shubman a star at the age of 19.

Shubman was a top run-getter for India in the 2018 Under-19 World Cup carrying away 372 runs.

Shubman is the one who has also played an innings of double century (268 runs) in between Ranji Trophy 2018-19 season.

Shubman was the leading run-scorer for Punjab in Ranji Trophy 2018-19 with Ranji Trophy 2018-19, being the highest scorer in the tournament.

Key amongst his feats are that he is the youngest Indian batsman to score a double century in a first-class match, for which he played against West Indies A.

He was declared as Emerging Player of the IPL tournament 2019.

In the first-ever ODI match played between India and Zimbabwe in Harare on 22nd August, 2022, Shubman managed to score his maiden century debuting for India in their side.

In September 2022, Shubman records his first county-century.
